EXPECTATIONS

Drop off Day:

1. Consignors arrive during their appointment time at the sale location.
   
2. The consignor is expected to bring in their items on hangers organized by gender and size.
   
3. Items should have a numbered string tag attached in its appropriate place. The number should correspond with its number on the inventory sheet.
   
4. A volunteer from Katie's Klothesline will direct you to a convenient spot to conduct check-in.
   
5. If you have not printed out your bar-coded labels on the proper label sheets, the KK (Katie's Klothesline) volunteer will have them printed for you.
   
6. She will ask for your inventory sheet that is required for you to print out and bring with you. If you do not have your inventory sheet, it can be printed for you for the cost of $1.
   
7. Before any labels are affixed to your string tags KK will inspect your clothes and items for stains, proper display and tagging, and seasonal acceptance. (Stains have a way of coming to view under fluorescent lighting-so please don't take offense if something is found)
   
8. After all items have been inspected, KK will get you your labels to apply to the string tags.
   
9. Then, the consignor may put the items in the correct and designated spots on the selling room floor.
   
10. After all required paperwork is signed and your private shopping passes are given to you, then you may take your 'pulled' items (if any) and you are DONE!
    
11. Please allow up to an hour for this process. The more organized you are, the faster it will be.

 

Pick Up Day:

1. There is no appointment time for this day. There is a 3-hour time window in which you may come at your convenience.
   
2. When you arrive, you should go to the table, and tell the KK volunteer your consignor number.
   
3. She will direct you to where your clothing has been neatly sorted for you and give you your Sales Report. This sheet tells you which items sold at which price. (either full or half which you would have designated when entering your items)
   
4. You may use this report to double-check that all items are present and accounted for. This is totally up to you, but if you leave the store and realize at home that there is something missing, KK is not liable at that time. You must realize this while still at the store location in order for them to be guaranteed.
   
5. Your items are only guaranteed if you had your labels printed out at drop off and applied in the store. If you apply them at home, then they are not guaranteed.
   
6. After double-checking your list and you are satisfied with your account, you will receive your check.
   
7. You will sign a form stating that you are satisfied and that no adjustments will be made once leaving the store.
   
8. If a discrepancy is found while still at the store and before the final paperwork is signed. You should look on the lost item (or orphan table) to see if your item is there. Sometimes tags come off of items while at the store or items with multiple parts sometimes lose some of their parts and these items are place here.
   
9. If the items is not accounted for and deemed to have been stolen or lost while in KK's care and is GUARANTEED, then KK will pay you 65% of the price of that item.

 

Early Shopping Times:

1. On Drop Off Day after you check in all your items and sign all your final paperwork, you will receive 2 early shopping passes for the Private Pre-sale Event and for Private Half-Price shopping. You will receive a pass for you and a pass for your husband, mother or child to shop with you. You are allowed only one other family member to shop with you at this time. You will also receive 1 guest pass to give away to a friend. Their shopping time is at a different time slot which is later in the day. This is part of your benefit for consigning with Katie's Klothesline. You are allowed to shop before we open to the public to get the best deals.
   
2. On your passes, as well as on the website, will be a specified time slot in which you are allowed to shop. You must have your pass with you at the time of entry, and we will not be allowing entry to anyone without their pass or before their specified shopping time.
   
3. We ask that you not bring any kids with you unless they are the child that you are giving the extra pass to. In the past we have let this slide, but we have witnessed many children not behaving and tearing up merchandise.
   
4. If you want to purchase a large item that is not possible to carry around with you, you may pull the tag and keep it with you. Once you tear the tag, it is yours to buy. It is frowned upon to pull the tag to simply "think about it". You would not appreciate a shopper holding your merchandise 'hostage' to prevent someone else from buying it and then changing their mind.
   
5. We ask that you have respect for other shoppers and others' consignors items while you shop.
