Clothing

The better they look, the better they sell! Please take time to wash and iron your clothes if necessary. Please check for stains, broken zippers, torn hemlines, etc. We will be double checking at the store and will not receive any item that is not in excellent condition.

Clothing must be on hangers. Use children's plastic hangers for sizes 10 and below. Use larger plastic hangers for sizes 12 and above. You may also use wire coated hangers as long as they are 'size appropriate.' NO METAL HANGERS, PLEASE! Plastic and wire-coated hangers can be purchased at discount stores. This makes shopping more pleasant for everyone!

**We also are not removing hangers at check-out. So, please do not send your clothes on hangers that you expect back.**

We are receiving Spring and Summer clothing in Childrens, Junior, and Maternity sizes. This includes swim suits, life jackets (like-new), swim toys (like-new), lightweight jackets, and Easter outfits. We will also be accepting Dress-up clothes, jeans, and pants. We will not be accepting fleece, heavy coats, courdoroy, winter boots or Halloween costumes. Please group items together so that they will equal a value of at least $2.50. They may be pinned together on a hanger.

Shirts:

~Pin string tag to the left shoulder of the garment
~Hanger should look like a questions mark when looking at the item.
~The left shoulder is the one that will be on the outside of the rack so that the customer can see the tag.

Pants:

~You may use a pant/clip hanger if you have them.
~Otherwise, pin the waistline of the pants to the TOP of the hanger using safety pins.
~The hanger still looks like a question mark when looking at the item.
~The tag is also pinned to the top left of the garment.
~All pants must be pinned to a hanger, not folded over, as they tend to end up on the floor.

2-piece Outfits:

~You may use a 2-piece outfit hanger or a long plastic one-piece outfit hanger for baby items. Please use size appropriate hangers.
~Use the shirt hanger for the shirt and the pant/clip portion for the pants.
~If using a regular hanger to hang both items together, hang the shirt as you normally would with the hanger facing the correct way, and then pin the pants to the shoulders of the shirt on the back side also pinning the hanger, if possible.
~You may also use 2 hangers to group them together using the shirt method and pant method, but then you should also rubber band the hangers together. ~The item will still get one barcoded price tag, but it is a good idea to pin another string tag to the 2nd piece with your consignor number, item number and price written on it so that if by chance they get separated we know it is a grouped item and who it belongs to.
~Both pieces need to be viewable.

Maternity:

~Maternity clothing will be limited to 15 items per Consignor. Each item must be in current style and excellent condition.

Socks/Undergarments:

~We only accept socks or undergarments if they are new in the packages.

Shoes:

~Make sure these are clean and 'like-new'.
~If the shoes are small enough to fit into a ziploc bag please use these to keep them together.
~If they can be tied using their laces, buckled or zip-tied together this is also a good idea.
~Each shoe needs to have a piece of masking tape on each sole showing your consignor number and the price. Shoes get separated easily with people trying them on, and sometimes they don't get put back where they belong. If we have your information on them we can get them back to the correct place and also sell them by using that information to look at your inventory list if the price falls off.
~Try to attach the string tag to the shoes if possible. Safety pin tag to laces or through the lacing eye. If not, then tape it to the inside of the ziploc bag.
~Do not bring the shoebox for the shoes unless it will also fit inside the ziploc bag. Using the box only to try to keep them together is not acceptable.
~We will be imposing a limit of 10 pairs of shoes per consignor.

Toys:

~We sell 95% of Toys!
~Must be clean and in working order (batteries included.)
~Small parts must be bagged and attached to the main part very securely. If parts get separated it will not sell.
~Games and puzzles should be taped closed after they are checked in. It is a good idea to place puzzles pieces in a ziploc before it is boxed to ensure all pieces stay together. It is also good to write your consignor number and info on the ziploc bag with a Sharpie in case the tag comes off.
~TOYS NOT PACKAGED APPROPRIATELY WILL BE TURNED AWAY.
~We will only accept Beanie Baby, Disney or other name brand stuffed animals in like new condition.

Toy recall information- We reserve the right to pull any toy that we think might have been recalled. To help us, please do not bring any toys that have been subject to a recall. You may check the following website for current toy recalls: www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/category/toy.html. Also this helpful handbook has been made available by the Consumer Product Safety Commission: www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/pubs/thrift/thrguid.pdf

Loose Parts to Toys:

~Sometimes larger items such as doll houses or kitchens, etc. come with loose items that are hard to keep together. We ask that you use a ziploc to gather them up and keep them together.
~You will use packing/mailing tape to secure them to the larger item to keep them together.
~Also, the opening of the ziploc should be taped shut using the mailing tape to prevent children or customers opening them during shopping.
~Write your consignor number and item number and type of items that should be included in the ziploc on the outside of the bag to help us if it should get separated from its larger piece. (Ex: #A12; #57; Living room furniture = ~Consignor number, item number, doll house furniture)

Swings, Exersaucers, Cribs, Baby Equipment:

~Please attach the string tag to the fabric or cover of the item where it will be easily visible to the customer.
~If there is no fabric on the item such as on a crib, diaper pail, step stool, desk or easel, then please tape the string tag to the item securely in a place that is also easily seen by the customer.

***Due to the latest recall regulations by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, we will not be accepting ANY drop side cribs.***

~Large Little Tikes Toys and Furniture are in high demand! When tagging large toys it is best to also attach a piece of masking tape to the toy with your consignor information. This will enable us to sell your toy even if the tag comes off! We sell 95% of Toys, Furniture and Baby Equipment!

Car Seats:

~Your car seat must have been manufactured within the past five years. It must not be subject to recall or have been in an accident. You may check the following website for current recalls: www.carseat.org/Recalls/179NP.pdf
~All seat coves and straps must be thoroughly cleaned. You will be asked to sign a car seat waiver stating your car seat has all the pieces and is in excellent condition and not more than five years old. Car seats will be closely inspected for safety reasons.

Books:

~If you are selling a book individually, you may tape the string tag to the book itself.
~If you are grouping them together you may either put 2, 3 or 4 books together and price them as one item.
~If grouping them you may use a ziploc and tape the string to the inside of the bag so if the tag falls off it will still be inside the bag. Or you may also pin the tag in the thicker, zipper part of the bag. I would use labels to list which books should be inside so that the customer knows which ones should be included.
~You may also group them together using ribbon (such as curling ribbon) placing the books back-to-back in a manner so that the customer can see the books easier. You can either tape the string tag to the books or attach it to the ribbon. This does make for a more pleasing presentation and the customer will see that if you cared to display them in such a manner then you cared for your items and they are in great shape! Presentation plays a huge role in selling your items.

DVDs, CDs, Videos, and Video games:

~We will have you tape these shut at check in using mailing/packing tape after they are checked in. We will need to see the condition of these items before they are taped shut to check for scratches, etc.
~These will be displayed in baskets according to likeness, and more expensive video games will be displayed on a table that is closer to the register.
~The string tags to these items will need to be taped to the item.

Bedding:

~Bedding as a general rule is not a hot seller, so please price these items to sell.
~If you are selling a bedding set then we ask that you group it together in a large ziploc storage bag or the original plastic zippered bag. You may tape the tag to the bag or pin it to the outside. Please list on the bag the items included in the price. If you have a picture of it set up, that is also good to tape to the bag so that the customer can see what it all looks like. We have had consignors in the past print off the inventory off the internet that showed the original price so that they can see the deal they are getting.
~If you are selling a blanket by itself, please use a hanger to display it and pin the string tag to the item.
~Crib sheets can be sold in groups of 2 or 3 in a ziploc bag.
~Receiving blankets also should be grouped together using a ziploc.
