New Website:

We have updated our website to make it more user friendly, and so that each consignor is able to have all of the information they need at their fingertips! All the buttons are located down the right side of each page so that you can go from page to page with ease! We hope that you find it more eye-appealing, and worth all the time it took to get it up and running!

 

The 'Sponsor Sack':

We will be offering a new way for sponsors to get the word out about their family-friendly business. We are offering a re-usable shopping bag called the "Sponsor Sack" where you can include your catalog, flyer, business card, coupon or samples. The cost is $25 per sponsor or vendor. You should provide enough items to fill 250 sacks that will be available at the event. You don't have to be at the event to participate, and we will stuff the sacks for you. You will need to contact Katie by e-mail to express your interest. You will need to have any items for the bag ready by March 14th.

 

Pre-Sale Shopping:

In the past we have let slide the bringing in of extra shoppers such as husbands, mothers, and kids to the pre-sale event. We will now be enforcing this rule, but we will also be giving each consignor an extra pass for the Pre-sale shopping as well as the Half-price shopping days. This will allow you to bring in one extra person ONLY such as the above mentioned examples. We will also give you one extra pass to give away to a friend who may shop at the specified Guest Shopping time frame. Each person entering must have a pass for entry, and they will not be allowed to enter before the specific time frame that is listed on their passes.

 

Check-In:

Each consignor is in charge of their own items. Your check-in is not complete until you put away your items that have been checked in. We will not be responsible for items simply dropped off with price tags. If you did not place your items in their correct designated places, then they were not put out on the selling room floor.

We are also requiring each consignor to print and bring with them to check-in their Inventory Sheet. If you cannot provide this for us, we will print it at the store and you will be charged $1. Please click the Expectations button to see more elaboration on this subject.

 

Printing Your Own Barcodes:

You may have done this for our last event, but we really didn't publicize that this option was available. It is a convenient way to make check-in go faster, but if you choose to do this then your items will not be guaranteed against loss or theft. Two Weekends:

We are going back to the 2-weekend format for the Spring 2011 event. We will have the first weekend as a regular price weekend, and the entire 2nd weekend will be half-price weekend. As always, all items will not be half-price. This is indicated by the Red Dot on the price tag. All items are still for sale, however. Please check the schedule to see our store hours for this upcoming event.

 

Higher Percentages:

We are offering you ways to earn more of a percentage of your sales. Our current percentage for a regular consignor is 65%. Now, if you volunteer to help out for just one shift your percentage is raised to 70%. If you refer 3 new consignors who each consign 25 items then you earn another 5%, and if you refer 6 new consignors who each consign 25 items then you earn an additional 5%. It is possible to earn up to 80% on the sale of your items. Please check the Incentives page to see how this works.

 

Katie's Klothesline In-Home Parties:

We are offering KK classes! We have heard over and over again how hard it seems to consign. We agree when we start explaining it to someone that it seems to be a little overwhelming, but we also know that consigning your items with Katie's Klothesline is very rewarding! Item Limits:

We are finding ourselves having to limit the amounts of items that our consignors are bringing in. We are imposing a limit of 116 items per consignor number. You may get as many consignor numbers as you like, but each number is only entitled to 116 items so make them your best ones! Each consignor number is also charged a consignor fee. We feel by imposing this limit it will bring the quality of merchandise we receive up even higher! We got lots of compliments on the quality of the merchandise during the Fall 2010 sale, and this was due to more strict Check-In procedures. If we impose the limits, then we feel the consignors will be more diligent in checking their own clothes at home. (By the way, 116 items came about as how many items will be printed on 4 sheets of labels.) If you bring in more than the 116 items then we will have you choose which items you believe are your best items.

We will also be limiting Shoes to 10 pair per consignor. Shoes are not a big seller, and they must be in almost mint condition for them to sell. Price them to sell!

Maternity items are another limit we are imposing. There will be a limit of 15 items per consignor. These items must be within current fashion and in great shape also!

 

New Minimums:

We are requiring each consignor to bring in at least 25 High Quality items when they consign. This is to make sure that you actually get a check in the end. After the consignor fee of $10 and then the percentage break-down, we want to make sure that it is worth your while to consign. This limit is not in effect if you are bringing large items such as Exersaucers, Carseats, Swings, etc. These items will bring in a larger amount per price tag.
