SPRING SALE UPDATE

We got off to a good start with our Spring Sale 2007!!  We gathered a lot of interest in this concept that is generally new to this area, though this is a very popular way of re-selling your like-new items in other areas of the country. 

We found that toys and baby equipment were among the most popular items aside from clothing.  Starting a sale of this fashion takes a lot of education to the general public for it to catch on.  We are trying our hardest to get the word out.  You can help us do this by distributing flyers, word of mouth, and other ways that we have listed on the website.

We had just over 3000 items in our first sale with approximately 1/3 of those items selling.  We worked out a lot of kinks in the Spring, and we learned some things to do better and some things to not waste our time on.  It is a learning process for us as well.  We hope to double the size of the sale for this Spring’s sale.  Scroll to the bottom of the page for some pictures of the Spring 2007 Sale.

I hope that we will have a lot of the same consignors as last time, and we want to encourage new ones to participate.

Please feel free to look at the pictures of the Spring Sale to kind of see what all this is about.  We had fun putting it on, and I want to thank all of the volunteers who helped with the last sale.  They are as good as gold!!  If you volunteer, you get to shop early!

Please note that our schedule for the Spring 2008 sale is not finalized nor is the location.  That is still in the works.  We hope to have definite information soon.

MORE EXCITING NEWS!!!

If you participated in the Spring Sale, you are familiar with how it worked.  You priced, tagged, hung, and prepared your own items and earned 70% of the sale price.  Well, we found out that some people wished to participate, but their personal schedules were not such that they had the time to meet all of the requirements to do so.

We are pleased to offer another option for the fall sale to help get the word out about the sale and get more participants.  We are offering what we are calling “Plan B”.  This option is for the busy moms, working moms, procrastinator moms, etc... who wish to participate, but feel that they can’t.  With the “Plan B” option, you bring us your items well before the sale drop off times, and we will hang, price, and tag your items for the sale.  With “Plan B” your percentage for this service will be 40% opposed to the 70% if you prepared your items yourself.

With “Plan B” you still get to participate in the sale and get a return on your items that you feel deserve better than a garage sale or giving them away.

If you wish to participate in the sale and use the “Plan B” option please contact us and let us know.  There will be a deadline for getting your items to us and we will get that information on the website as soon as possible.   We will need to pose an earlier deadline for this feature of the sale to be granted enough time to get your items ready.  I am sure that you understand.
