Here are some ways you can help with the sale and benefit from early shopping. We depend on volunteers who are reliable and hard workers to make a sale of this fashion run smoothly. We want selling and shopping at Katie’s Klothesline to be a pleasant experience for everyone involved.

There are 2 options when volunteering:

If you work one 4-hour shift you will qualify to shop at the Worker’s Sale Friday, April 4th 7:30-9:00 p.m. If you volunteer to work two 4-hour shifts you qualify to shop at the Early Worker’s Sale Friday, April 4th 7:00-9:00 p.m. You will also get to shop early before the ½ price sale.

You do not have to be a consignor to be a volunteer. You also do not have to volunteer if you are a consignor. You will get to shop early either way, just be sure to check the schedule for your designated time.

You may also perform other jobs besides working the actual sale to earn a worker’s pass to shop early. Some of these opportunities include:

Meals for Workers:

Our volunteer workers get tired and hungry. If you bring a meal, snacks or drinks, you will receive a Worker Pass or Early Worker Pass depending on the amount of food that you bring. Please call Katie French at 361-960-4074 to see when this option will be most needed and what opportunities remain.

Door Hangers:

DOOR HANGERS ARE TO BE HUNG ONLY ON FRONT DOOR KNOBS OF HOUSES -- DO NOT PUT IN OR ON MAILBOXES AS THIS IS ILLEGAL!!!

Option 1 – 100 Door Hangers = 1 Worker Pass

Option 2 – 200 Door Hangers = 2 Early Worker Pass

Option 3 – 100 Door Hangers plus 2 Volunteer Hours during the Sort after the Sale closes Friday, April 4th 7:30-9:00 p.m.

Flyer and Poster Distribution:

We are looking for people to help spread the word about Katie’s Klothesline in their community by distributing several hundred flyers to our target market – families with children. Possible places for flyer and poster distribution include preschools, daycares, dance studios, doctor’s offices, etc. You will earn 1 Worker’s Pass for the pre-sale event.

Dads

If you would like to volunteer your husband to help us set up or break down the sale for a 4-hour shift, you will receive 1 Worker’s Pass for the pre-sale event.

Bags

If you can get a store to donate several 100 bags to help us out with bagging items during the sale or at the end of the sale when we sort all remaining items after the sale is over you will earn 1 Worker’s Pass for the pre-sale event.

Media Coverage

If you can help us with Radio, Television or Newspaper Coverage you will receive 1 Early Worker’s Pass for the pre-sale event.
